If passed, Amendment 5 would raise taxes on the things Missouri families cannot go without: groceries, gas, medicine, doctor visits, childcare, home repairs, and the bills that already feel too high.

For most families, those costs more than double. The people already stretched the thinnest pay the most.

How would Jeff City politicians get away with it?

Amendment 5 creates a loophole so politicians can raise taxes without asking you.

Missourians already voted to stop politicians from putting new sales taxes on services without a vote of the people. Amendment 5 punches a loophole through that protection.

If it passes, politicians can tax anything they want, any time they want, and you never get a say.
